Prepare the Blackberries
Rinse the blackberries under cold water and remove any stems or leaves. Place them in a skillet.

Over medium heat, mash the blackberries with a potato masher or fork until they are broken down. Cook for about 5 minutes until they start to release their juices.

Add Sugar and Pectin
Stir in the granulated sugar and the pectin into the skillet. Mix well and bring the mixture to a full boil, stirring constantly.

Once boiling, let it boil for 1 minute while stirring continuously. Remove from heat.
