Brownie Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat.
- 3
Mix Sugars
Add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the melted butter, stirring until well combined.
- 4
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 5
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- 6
Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in the chocolate chips gently into the brownie batter.
- 7
Bake the Brownies
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 8
Cool and Serve
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares. Serve warm with chocolate and caramel sauces drizzled on top, and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
