Prepare the Calamari
Rinse the calamari rings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

Seasoning
In a bowl, combine the manioc flour, salt, and black pepper.

Coat the Calamari
Dredge the calamari rings in the seasoned manioc flour until evenly coated.

Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

Fry the Calamari
Carefully add the coated calamari rings to the hot oil, frying them in batches for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Drain
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried calamari and drain them on paper towels.
