Assembly and Cooking

1

Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, combine ground pork, chopped cabbage, green onion, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

2

Fill the Dumplings

Take a gyoza wrapper and place a small spoonful of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half, and pinch the edges to seal. Make pleats along the edge for a traditional look.

3

Cook the Gyoza

In a non-stick skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Place the gyoza in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown. Add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet, cover, and steam for 5-6 minutes until the water is evaporated and the gyoza are cooked through.
