Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Chop the onions, slice the mushrooms, and dice the sausage into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sausage

In a skillet, melt half of the butter over medium heat. Add the sausage pieces and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

Add the chopped onions and mushrooms to the skillet with the sausage. Sauté for an additional 3-5 minutes until the onions are translucent and the mushrooms are tender.

  4. 4

    Whisk the Eggs

In a bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Cook the Omelet

In a separate non-stick skillet, melt the remaining butter over medium-low heat. Pour the beaten eggs into the skillet. Allow the eggs to cook undisturbed for about 2-3 minutes until the edges begin to set.

  6. 6

    Add Filling

Once the eggs are mostly set, add the sausage and vegetable mixture to one half of the omelet. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.

  7. 7

    Fold and Serve

Carefully fold the omelet in half over the filling. Cook for another minute until the cheese melts. Slide the omelet onto a plate and serve hot.
