Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim any excess fat.

  2. 2

    Make the Dry Rub

In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

Rub the spice mixture evenly over the ribs, ensuring they are well-coated.

  4. 4

    Slow Cook the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover them tightly with more foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.

  5. 5

    Prepare the BBQ Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine the apple cider vinegar and BBQ sauce and heat over low until warmed through.

  6. 6

    Glaze the Ribs

After the ribs are cooked, remove them from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush the ribs generously with the BBQ sauce mixture.

  7. 7

    Final Cooking

Return the ribs to the oven uncovered and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.

  8. 8

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, then slice between the bones and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
