Method

Cooking the Sirloin

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the 7oz sirloin steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Preparing the Baked Potato

  1. 4

    Prep the Potato

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Scrub the large potato under running water and pat dry.

  2. 5

    Bake the Potato

Pierce the potato with a fork several times. Place it directly on the oven rack and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until tender.

Making the House Salad

  1. 6

    Combine Salad Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion.

  2. 7

    Dress the Salad

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle over the salad and toss to combine.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Meal

Slice the rested steak and serve it alongside the baked potato and house salad.
