Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Steak
Pound the beef round steak to about 1/2 inch thickness. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Dredge the Steak
In a shallow dish, combine flour, garlic powder, and onion powder. In another dish, whisk together buttermilk and egg. Dip each steak into the flour mixture, then the buttermilk mixture, and back into the flour, ensuring it's well coated.
- 3
Fry the Steak
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the coated steaks for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
