Method

Preparation of Shrimp

  1. 1

    Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. 2

    Make BBQ Butter Sauce

Reduce heat to low. Stir in BBQ sauce, butter, and lemon juice. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce is heated through and shrimp are well coated.

Preparation of Mashed Potatoes

  1. 3

    Cook the Potatoes

In a large pot, boil peeled and cubed potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

  2. 4

    Mash the Potatoes

Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Preparation of Garlic Bread

  1. 5

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.

  2. 6

    Bake the Garlic Bread

Spread the garlic butter mixture over the sliced baguette. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes until golden and crispy.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Serve the BBQ shrimp over a generous scoop of mashed potatoes, alongside slices of garlic bread.
