Prepare the Ingredients
Chop the lettuce, slice the tomato, pickles, and red onion. Set aside.

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Form the Patties
In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into two equal patties.

Cook the Patties
In the same skillet used for bacon, cook the beef patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.

Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt.

Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of the burger bun, layer lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, bacon, tomato, pickles, and red onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
