Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Apple Filling

In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and chopped pecans. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Cobbler Topping

In another bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of granulated sugar, 1.5 tsp of baking powder, and a pinch of salt. In a separate bowl, mix together 1 cup of milk and 1/3 cup of melted butter. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients until just mixed.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Cobbler

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the apple mixture into a greased baking dish. Spoon the cobbler topping evenly over the apples.

  4. 4

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbly.

  5. 5

    Serve

Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving. Best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
