Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps the steak cook more evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the olive oil all over the steak. Season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a cast-iron skillet over high heat. If using a skillet, add a little olive oil to the pan and let it get hot.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the ribeye on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it, until a nice crust forms. Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare (adjust time for desired doneness).

  5. 5

    Add Herbs

In the last minute of cooking, add the sprigs of rosemary or thyme to the pan or grill for added flavor.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill or skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
