House-Made Kit Kat Ingredients
Method
Instructions
- 1
Melt the Chocolate
In a heatproof bowl, melt the milk chocolate and butter together over a pot of simmering water or in the microwave in 30-second intervals until smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 2
Prepare the Layering
Line a small rectangular baking dish (about 8x4 inches) with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal. Place two wafer sheets at the bottom of the dish.
- 3
Add the Hazelnuts and Praline
Pour half of the melted chocolate mixture over the wafer sheets, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the chopped hazelnuts and crushed praline on top of the chocolate layer.
- 4
Layer Again
Place another wafer sheet on top of the hazelnuts and praline. Repeat the process with the remaining chocolate mixture, hazelnuts, praline, and the last wafer sheet.
- 5
Chill the Kit Kat
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until set.
- 6
Cut and Serve
Once set, lift the Kit Kat out of the dish using the parchment paper. Cut into bars and serve. Enjoy your house-made Kit Kat!
