Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Turkey

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Remove the turkey from its packaging, and remove the giblets from the cavity. Pat the turkey dry with paper towels.

2

Season the Turkey

Rub the entire surface of the turkey with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary. Ensure to get some seasoning inside the cavity as well.

3

Stuff the Turkey

Place the lemon, onion, fresh herbs, and a few carrot and celery pieces inside the turkey's cavity for added flavor.

4

Prepare the Roasting Pan

In a large roasting pan, arrange the remaining carrots, celery, and onion. Pour the chicken broth into the pan.

5

Roast the Turkey

Place the turkey breast-side up on a rack in the roasting pan. Roast in the preheated oven, basting occasionally with the pan juices, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), about 13-15 minutes per pound.

6

Rest the Turkey

Once done, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for at least 20-30 minutes before carving. This allows the juices to redistribute.

7

Serve

Carve the turkey and serve with your favorite sides.
