Cheese Dog Directions

   Prepare the Hot Dogs

   In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add the hot dogs and cook for about 5-7 minutes until heated through.

   Melt the Cheese

   In a small saucepan over low heat, add the cheddar cheese and stir continuously until melted. Remove from heat and set aside.

   Prepare the Buns

   While the cheese is melting, slice the hot dog buns lengthwise but not all the way through. Spread butter on the outside of each bun.

   Toast the Buns

   In a skillet over medium heat, toast the buttered sides of the buns until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

   Assemble the Cheese Dogs

   Place one hot dog in each toasted bun. Drizzle the melted cheddar cheese over the hot dogs.

   Add Toppings

   Top with mustard, ketchup, diced onions, and sliced pickles as desired.

   Serve

   Serve the cheese dogs immediately while hot and enjoy!
