Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mushrooms

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and add the sliced mushrooms, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook until the mushrooms are tender and browned, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Onions

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter and the sliced onion. Sauté until the onions are caramelized and golden, about 5-6 minutes. Set aside with the mushrooms.

  3. 3

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Form into 4 equal patties.

  4. 4

    Cook the Patties

In the skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  5. 5

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty. Cover the skillet to help melt the cheese.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns if desired. Layer the bottom half of each bun with a patty, followed by the sautéed mushrooms and onions. Top with the other half of the bun.
