Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Scrub the russet potatoes under cold water and dry them thoroughly. Pierce each potato several times with a fork.

  2. 2

    Season and Bake

Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle salt over them. Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack and bake for about 45-60 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a fork.

  3. 3

    Prepare Toppings

While the potatoes are baking, prepare your toppings by shredding the cheddar cheese, cooking the bacon until crispy, and chopping the green onions.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Loaded Potatoes

Once the potatoes are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Cut a slit down the center of each potato and gently squeeze the ends to open them up.

  5. 5

    Add Butter and Toppings

Add a tablespoon of butter to each potato, then top with shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions. Season with black pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the loaded baked potatoes immediately while they are warm. Enjoy!
