Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preparing the Breading
In a shallow bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornmeal, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- 2
- 3
Coating the Cheese Curds
Dip each cheese curd into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Then, coat the curd in the flour mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
- 4
Heating the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Frying the Curds
Carefully add the breaded cheese curds to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
- 6
Draining the Curds
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried curds from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
- 7
Serving
Serve the cheese curds hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
