Method

Preparation of the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Skirt Steak

Sprinkle the skirt steak with salt and black pepper on both sides. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the skirt steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Slice the Steak

After resting, slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.

Salad Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the iceberg lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Dice the tomatoes and avocado, and slice the bell pepper into thin strips.

  2. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the chopped iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced avocado, roasted corn, black beans, and sliced bell pepper.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 6

    Make the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 7

    Dress the Salad

Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve the Salad

Place the sliced steak on top of the salad and serve immediately.
