Method
Marinating the Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well mixed.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the chicken breasts on the grill. Grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- 5
Rest the Chicken
Once grilled, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Assembling the Sandwich
- 6
Prepare the Buns
While the chicken is resting, slice the burger buns in half and spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the cut side of each bun.
- 7
Assemble the Sandwich
On the bottom half of each bun, place a grilled chicken breast, followed by the pickles and a leaf of lettuce. Top with the other half of the bun.
- 8
Serve
Serve the sandwich immediately while warm.
