Method

Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patties

In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined and form into 4 equal patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty to melt.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster. On the bottom half of each bun, layer lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, and your choice of ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

French Fry Directions

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to resemble fries. Rinse in cold water to remove excess starch, then pat dry with a paper towel.

  2. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 6

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  4. 7

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
