Salad Base

Red Wine Vinaigrette

Method

Prepare the Salad

  1. 1

    Roast the Turkey

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Season the turkey breast with salt and pepper, then roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F). Allow it to rest before slicing.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess fat. Once cooled, chop into bite-sized pieces.

  3. 3

    Prepare Hard Boiled Eggs

Place the eggs in a pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes. Afterward, place them in cold water to cool before peeling and slicing.

  4. 4

    Chop Vegetables

Dice the tomatoes and avocado, and set aside.

  5. 5

    Prepare Roquefort Cheese

Crumble the Roquefort cheese into small pieces.

Make the Vinaigrette

  1. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together the red wine vinegar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, honey, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Assemble the Salad

  1. 7

    Combine All Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the sliced roasted turkey, crispy bacon, sliced hard boiled eggs, diced tomatoes, diced avocado, and crumbled Roquefort cheese.

  2. 8

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the red wine vinaigrette over the salad and toss gently to combine all ingredients. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if desired.
