French Fries

Method

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Take 4 slices of bread and lay them out on a clean surface.

  2. 2

    Add Cheese

Place a slice of cheddar cheese on 2 of the bread slices.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Sandwich

Top the cheese with the remaining 2 slices of bread to create 2 sandwiches.

  4. 4

    Butter the Bread

Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on the outer side of each sandwich.

  5. 5

    Grill the Sandwich

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches butter-side down in the skillet. Grill until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Flip and grill the other side until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.

  6. 6

    Slice and Serve

Remove the sandwiches from the skillet, slice them in half, and serve warm.

French Fries

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel 2 medium potatoes. Cut them into even strips for frying.

  2. 8

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat 4 cups of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 9

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the cut potatoes to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 10

    Drain and Season

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Season with salt to taste.

  5. 11

    Serve Hot

Serve the crispy French fries alongside the grilled cheese sandwiches while hot.
