Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Linguini

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the linguini and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.

Shrimp and Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic (4 cloves) and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  2. 3

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the jumbo shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.

  3. 4

Add the Wine and Lemon Juice

Pour in the dry white wine and lemon juice. Bring it to a simmer, allowing the alcohol to cook off for about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 5

    Finish the Sauce

Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the red pepper flakes. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper to taste.

  5. 6

    Combine with Pasta

Add the cooked linguini to the skillet with the shrimp and sauce. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a silky sauce.

  6. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
