Prepare the Guacamole

  1. 1

    Cut and Scoop the Avocados

Cut the ripe avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mash the Avocados

Use a fork or a potato masher to gently mash the avocados to your desired consistency.

  3. 3

    Add Ingredients

Add the chopped cilantro, diced red onion, lime juice, salt, and chopped jalapeño (if using) to the mashed avocados. Stir gently to combine.

  4. 4

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lime juice to suit your preference.

  1. 5

    Transfer to Serving Bowl

Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl and smooth the top with the back of a spoon.

  2. 6

You may garnish the guacamole with additional cilantro or lime wedges if desired.

  3. 7

    Serve with Chips

Serve the guacamole alongside the tortilla chips for dipping.
