Method
Chicken Preparation
- 1
Prepare Chicken Breasts
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
- 2
Coat Chicken
Set up a breading station: Place flour in one dish, beat the eggs in another dish, and combine bread crumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in a third dish. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess, dip into the beaten eggs, and then coat with the bread crumb mixture.
Assembly and Cooking
- 3
Bake the Chicken
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the coated chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Once browned, remove from heat.
- 4
Add Sauce and Cheese
Pour marinara sauce over the chicken breasts, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
- 5
Cook Linguini
While the chicken is baking, cook linguini according to package instructions in a pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
- 6
Serve
Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven. Serve each chicken breast over a bed of linguini, spoon additional marinara sauce if desired, and garnish with fresh basil.
