Chicken Marsala

Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Dredge the Chicken
Coat each chicken breast in all-purpose flour, shaking off the excess.

Sauté the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce
Pour in the Marsala wine and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a simmer and let it reduce slightly (about 5 minutes).

Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, combine the long-grain rice, water, turmeric, and salt. Bring to a boil over high heat.

Simmer the Rice
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the water has been absorbed.

Add the Broccoli
Add the broccoli florets, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.
