Marinated Chicken

Toppings & Sides

Method

Marinating the Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable bag or bowl. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.

Cooking the Chicken and Vegetables

  1. 3

    Cook the Chicken

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and add to the skillet. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onions. Sauté for about 5-6 minutes, or until they are tender and slightly charred.

Serving

  1. 5

    Assemble the Fajitas

Slice the cooked chicken into strips. Serve in warm tortillas with sautéed vegetables. Offer sour cream, salsa, pico de gallo, cooked rice, and refried beans on the side.

  2. 6

    Enjoy!

Wrap the tortillas around the chicken and vegetables, add your favorite toppings, and enjoy your delicious chicken fajitas!
