Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Romaine Lettuce

Wash the romaine lettuce hearts thoroughly under cold water. Remove any damaged outer leaves. Pat dry with a clean kitchen towel or use a salad spinner to remove excess water. Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Caesar Dressing

In a medium bowl, combine the minced garlic and anchovy fillets. Use a fork to mash them together until well combined. Add the Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice, mixing until smooth. Gradually whisk in the olive oil until the dressing is emulsified. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Combine and Serve

Drizzle the prepared Caesar dressing over the torn romaine lettuce pieces in the mixing bowl. Toss gently to coat the lettuce evenly with the dressing. Add the croutons and grated Parmesan cheese on top. Toss lightly again to combine. Serve immediately in chilled salad bowls.
