Method

Preparation of Wings

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Chicken Wings

In a large bowl, add the chicken wings, olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss the wings until they are evenly coated.

Baking the Wings

  1. 3

    Arrange Wings on Baking Sheet

Place the coated wings on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper, making sure they are spread out in a single layer.

  2. 4

    Bake the Wings

Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.

Making the BBQ Sauce

  1. 5

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

  2. 6

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Let it cook for about 10-15 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Tossing and Serving

  1. 7

    Toss Wings in BBQ Sauce

Once the wings are done baking, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the BBQ sauce over the wings and toss them until they are completely coated.

  2. 8

    Serve

Serve the BBQ wings hot with your choice of dipping sauces and enjoy!
