Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil and season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Sear the Steak

Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. When the skillet is hot, add the steaks and sear for 4-5 minutes on one side until a nice crust forms.

  3. 3

    Add Aromatics

Flip the steaks, add minced garlic and rosemary sprigs to the skillet, and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the skillet, cover loosely with foil, and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips to make fries.

  2. 6

    Soak the Fries

Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat dry.

  3. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the fries in batches to the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.

  5. 9

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. While still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
