Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Cauliflower
Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and cut it into florets. Rinse the florets under cold water and pat dry with a towel.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add water, whisking until smooth.
Cooking
- 3
Coat the Cauliflower
Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated. Allow any excess batter to drip off.
- 4
Fry the Cauliflower
In a deep skillet or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the batter-coated cauliflower florets in batches and fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Prepare the Buffalo Sauce
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the buffalo sauce and stir to combine. Heat until warm.
- 6
Toss in Buffalo Sauce
In a large mixing bowl, combine the fried cauliflower and the buffalo sauce. Toss until the cauliflower is thoroughly coated.
Serving
- 7
Serve
Serve the buffalo cauliflower hot, garnished with celery sticks and ranch dressing on the side if desired.
