Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Onion Rings

Slice the onion into thick rings and separate them. In a bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, salt, and pepper. Dip each onion ring in buttermilk, then coat in the flour mixture.

  2. 2

    Fry the Onion Rings

Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the onion rings until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  4. 4

    Make the Burger Patties

In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into two patties.

  5. 5

    Cook the Burger Patties

In the same skillet used for bacon, grill the patties over medium heat for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking.

  6. 6

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a burger patty, top with a slice of cheddar cheese, two slices of bacon, and a generous amount of BBQ sauce. Finish with onion rings and the top bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the Rodeo Burgers with extra BBQ sauce on the side and enjoy!
