Onion Rings Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

1

Prepare the Onions

Peel the onions and slice them into 1/4 inch thick rings. Separate the rings and set them aside.

2

Make the Batter

In a bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Combine the wet and dry ingredients to form a batter.

3

Coat the Onion Rings

Dip each onion ring into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with breadcrumbs.

4

Fry the Onion Rings

In a deep pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated onion rings in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

5

Serve

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
