Dumpling Dough

Sweet Sesame Soy Sauce

Method

Dumpling Preparation

1

Make the Dough

In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

2

Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken or chopped vegetables, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix until well combined.

3

Form the Dumplings

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut out circles using a round cutter (about 3 inches in diameter). Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle. Fold and pleat the edges to seal.

Cooking

4

Steam the Dumplings

Bring water to a boil in a steamer pot. Place dumplings in the steamer basket, ensuring they are not touching. Steam for about 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.

5

Prepare Sweet Sesame Soy Sauce

In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey (or sugar), sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Stir until well combined.
