Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground sirloin, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into four equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about ¾ inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).

  4. 4

    Grill the Burgers

Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  5. 5

    Toast the Brioche Rolls

During the last few minutes of grilling, place the brioche rolls cut side down on the grill to toast them lightly.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burgers

Remove the patties and rolls from the grill. On the bottom half of each roll, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, pickles, and your choice of ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the roll.

Side Preparation

  1. 7

Prepare the Fries or Onion Rings

Follow the package instructions for cooking the frozen French fries and onion rings, either by baking or frying them. If frying, heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F and fry until golden brown and crispy.

  2. 8

    Serve the Sides

Once cooked, drain the fries or onion rings on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve them alongside the burgers for a complete meal.
