Clean and Prepare Calamari
Rinse the calamari under cold water. Remove the outer skin, beak, and innards. Cut the body into rings about 1/2 inch thick and leave the tentacles whole.

Prepare Hot Peppers
Remove the stems from the hot red peppers and slice them thinly. If you prefer less heat, remove the seeds.

Minced Garlic
Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves.

Season Flour
In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour with salt and black pepper.

Chop Parsley
Finely chop the fresh parsley and set aside.
Cooking

Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until hot.

Dredge Calamari
Toss the calamari rings and tentacles in the seasoned flour until well coated.

Fry Calamari
Carefully add the floured calamari to the hot oil. Fry for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Be careful not to overcrowd the pan; fry in batches if necessary.

Drain and Serve
Remove the calamari and peppers from the skillet and drain on a paper towel. Transfer to a serving platter, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
