Method
Pasta Preparation
- 1
Cook the Fettuccine
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Chicken Cooking
- 2
Sauté the Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Remove from heat, let rest for a few minutes, and then slice into strips.
Alfredo Sauce Preparation
- 3
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper. Continue stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
