Tea Base

Sweetener (Optional)

Method

Prepare the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea Bags

Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow them to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags and discard them.

Sweeten the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If desired, add 1 cup of granulated sugar or 1 tablespoon of honey while the tea is still warm. Stir until completely dissolved. You can also use 1 teaspoon of stevia for a sugar-free option.

Flavor the Tea

  1. 5

    Add Flavorings

Stir in 1 cup of lemon juice and 1 cup of fresh mint leaves into the sweetened tea. Mix well to combine the flavors.

  2. 6

    Cool the Tea

Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until chilled.

Serve the Tea

  1. 7

    Prepare Glasses

Fill glasses with 1 cup of ice cubes each.

  2. 8

    Pour & Garnish

Pour the chilled tea over the ice-filled glasses. Garnish with additional mint leaves if desired.

  3. 9

    Enjoy

Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing iced tea!
