Method
Instructions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- 3
Cut in Butter
Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 4
Add Buttermilk
Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the buttermilk. Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix.
- 5
Drop Biscuits
Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- 6
Bake
Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- 7
Cool and Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm with strawberry rhubarb jam.
