Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Breading Station
Set up three shallow dishes: one with all-purpose flour, one with beaten eggs, and the last with breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- 2
Bread the Mozzarella Sticks
Take each mozzarella stick and first coat it in flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally roll it in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated. Repeat for all mozzarella sticks.
- 3
Chill the Breaded Sticks
Place the breaded mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet and chill in the freezer for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape during frying.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Mozzarella Sticks
Carefully add a few mozzarella sticks to the hot oil, frying them in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the mozzarella logs from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with Italian marinara sauce for dipping.
