Cheese Curds

Ranch Dressing

Method

Cheese Curds Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Breading Station

In three separate bowls, set up your breading station. In the first bowl, place the flour and season with salt and black pepper. In the second bowl, beat the eggs and mix with milk. In the third bowl, add the breadcrumbs.

  2. 2

    Coat the Cheese Curds

Take a cheese curd and dredge it in the flour mixture, ensuring it is fully coated. Then dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, roll it in the breadcrumbs until it is well coated. Repeat with all cheese curds.

  3. 3

    Heat Oil for Frying

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to ensure the oil is at the correct temperature.

  4. 4

    Fry the Cheese Curds

Carefully add a few cheese curds to the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Ranch Dressing Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix the Ranch Dressing

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, buttermilk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.
