Coffee Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Measure Water

Pour 200 ml of cold water into a cezve (Turkish coffee pot).

  2. 2

    Add Coffee

Add 2 tablespoons of finely ground Turkish coffee to the cezve with the water.

  3. 3

    Add Sugar

If desired, add 1 tablespoon of sugar to the mixture. Adjust according to your taste.

  4. 4

    Stir Mixture

Stir the mixture gently to combine all ingredients.

  5. 5

    Heat the Cezve

Place the cezve on low heat and allow the coffee to warm slowly. Do not stir after this point.

  6. 6

    Watch for Foam

As the coffee heats, it will begin to foam. Watch carefully to prevent it from overflowing.

  7. 7

    Remove from Heat

When the coffee starts to foam and before it boils over, remove the cezve from the heat.

  8. 8

    Pour Coffee

Let the coffee settle for a few seconds, then pour it slowly into a small coffee cup, allowing the foam to rise to the top.

  9. 9

    Serve

Serve the Turkish coffee hot, and enjoy it with a glass of water on the side.
