Pulled Pork

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Smoke the Pork

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Place the pork shoulder in the smoker and cook for about 8-10 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).

  3. 3

    Shred the Pork

Once the pork is done, remove it from the smoker and let it rest for 30 minutes. Then, using two forks, shred the pork into bite-sized pieces.

  4. 4

    Add BBQ Sauce

In a bowl, mix the shredded pork with apple cider vinegar and BBQ sauce until well combined.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Serve the pulled pork mixture on hamburger buns. Optionally, top with additional BBQ sauce and coleslaw if desired.
