Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey Fillet

Season the turkey fillet with salt and pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Turkey Fillet

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned turkey fillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and juices run clear. Remove from skillet and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Bread

Spread Dijon mustard on one side of each slice of light rye bread.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Melt

On the uncoated side of one slice of rye bread, layer the sliced turkey fillet, grilled ham, and Swiss cheese. Top with the second slice of rye bread, mustard side down.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Grill the Turkey Melt

In the same skillet, add butter and heat over medium heat. Once melted, place the assembled sandwich in the skillet. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.

  2. 6

    Serve

Remove from skillet, cut in half, and serve immediately.
