Cooking the Pasta

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil over high heat.

Cook Spaghetti
Add spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Reserve Pasta Water
Before draining the pasta, reserve about 1 cup of the pasta cooking water.

Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and set it aside, but keep it warm.
Preparing the Sauce

Cook Bacon
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the bacon or pancetta. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

Prepare Egg Mixture
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, and black pepper until well combined.
Combining Ingredients

Combine Pasta and Bacon
Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the bacon. Toss to combine and heat through.

Serve immediately with extra grated Parmesan cheese and black pepper on top.
