Method

Meatballs

  1. 1

    Prepare Meatball Mixture

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form Meatballs

Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Bake Meatballs

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes or until browned and fully cooked.

Marinara Sauce

  1. 4

    Sauté Garlic

In a large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute or until fragrant.

  2. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Seasonings

Stir in canned crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 6

    Combine Meatballs and Sauce

Once the meatballs are baked, add them to the marinara sauce and let simmer for an additional 10 minutes.

Spaghetti

  1. 7

    Cook Spaghetti

In a large pot, bring 4 liters of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Garlic Bread

  1. 8

    Prepare Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Mix well.

  2. 9

    Prepare Bread

Slice the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on both halves.

  3. 10

    Toast Bread

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy.

Serving

  1. 11

    Serve the Dish

On a plate, serve a portion of spaghetti topped with marinara sauce and meatballs. Add a side of garlic bread to complete the meal.
