Meat Sauce Preparation

Cook the Sausage
In a large skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook the Italian sausage until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Simmer the sauce on low heat for 20-25 minutes.

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Layer the Ingredients
In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce, followed by half of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat with another layer of meat sauce and the remaining mozzarella cheese and top with grated Parmesan cheese.

Cook the Spaghetti
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add salt. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Baking and Serving

Bake the Dish
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and golden.

Serve the Italian sausage Parmigiana over a bed of spaghetti with extra meat sauce if desired.
