Tea Preparation

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Brew Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes depending on your desired strength.

Sweeten Tea
After steeping, remove the tea bags and stir in 1 cup of sugar until fully dissolved.

Cool the Tea
Let the brewed tea cool to room temperature before refrigerating it for at least 1 hour.

Prepare Lemon
While the tea cools, slice the whole lemon into thin rounds and set aside.

Prepare Mint
Rinse 10 fresh mint leaves under cold water and pat dry with a towel.
Serving

Assemble Iced Tea
In a large pitcher, add 2 cups of ice cubes. Pour the chilled tea over the ice, then add the lemon slices and mint leaves for flavor.

Stir gently to combine and serve immediately in glasses, garnishing with additional lemon slices and mint leaves if desired.
