Burger Patties

Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, you can add a little oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to let it melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Bun

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Layer Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese. Add tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard as desired.

  3. 8

    Finish Assembly

Top with the other half of the bun and gently press down. Your hot beefburger is now ready to serve!
